July News & Updates
Hello fellow art enthusiasts! I’m so excited to be writing to you from Blue Lake, just outside Cascade, Idaho. July is peak plein air season here in Idaho, and this painting trip is all about practice and figuring out my plein air gouache process.
Gouache has primarily been a studio medium for me. I’m learning a lot about using this water-based, quick-drying medium in outdoor settings.
I’m also on the hunt for dynamic foregrounds, depth, and angles. It’s been so much fun capturing pieces of this beautiful area so far! I can’t wait to share what I’m learning.
