What a wonderful weekend! The Sacred Spaces exhibit is now open at The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho.

More than a visual celebration, Sacred Spaces invites viewers to reflect on the heritage and traditions that have shaped the region—honoring the labor, perseverance, and enduring spirit of those who continue to make a life from the land.

Friday evening’s opening reception gave artists and patrons an opportunity to connect and discuss the work in person. Saturday, we gathered again for artist demonstrations and a panel discussion. Thoughtful questions from attendees led to meaningful conversations and deeper insight into each artist’s personal story and connection to the Sacred Spaces exhibit.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was sharing dinner with the artists and museum curators who helped make the exhibition possible. There is something especially meaningful about gathering together in person—moving beyond quick comments and “likes” on social media to have genuine conversations and build deeper connections through art.

A huge thank you to David Dibble, Alexa Stranger, and Amy Thompson for their thoughtful curation and hard work in bringing this exhibit together!

As a reminder, Sacred Spaces will run through July 3, 2026 at the The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

Preparing for this show required five months of my full-time focus and attention. During that process, I experienced some major breakthrough moments in my painting. But one of the most valuable tools in helping me stay focused, track my progress, and push the work forward came through organizing my ideas into one dedicated notebook.

I’m excited to offer a 90-Minute ZOOM WORKSHOP focused on gathering ideas, organizing your artistic goals, and setting yourself up for success from the very beginning.

Whether you’re preparing for an upcoming show, searching for a better way to organize your ideas, hoping to strengthen a specific area of study or simply curious about the notebook system that helped propel my own artistic growth, this workshop is for you!

Join me Wednesday, June 3rd from 11:00 AM–12:30 PM (Mountain Time) via ZOOM for an encouraging and practical session designed to help artists move forward with greater clarity, direction, and purpose. Sometimes a focused 90 minutes can completely change the way you approach your artistic growth for the year.
