What an honor to take part once again in such a prestigious gathering of artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts! I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the opportunity to stand alongside so many talented individuals in Jackson, Wyoming.

The Fall Arts Festival and Quick Draw event is truly special because of the connection between artist and collector. The support from art collectors, many of whom have worked tirelessly to build their own success, never ceases to amaze me. Their hard-earned patronage toward the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and art galleries in town is something I deeply respect. It is not just about purchasing a piece of art, but about being part of a community that fosters creativity and supports the arts in a meaningful way.

For me, the QuickDraw is not a moment to ask, “How can I earn as much as possible?” Rather, my focus is always on the patrons, the chamber, and providing the most complete piece I can in 90 minutes. I come to the event well-prepared. Always striving for integrity in my work, which consists of experiences painting on location, studying in my studio and practicing my craft. (But I still get nervous!!!!) However, years of this dedication has shaped my journey as an artist as I strive to ensure my art is worthy of collecting and resonates deeply with those who choose to support it.

To see the efforts of both the artists and the collectors culminate in such a successful event is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. I am forever grateful for the commitment and passion shared by everyone involved. Thank you to the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, the Wilcox Gallery, the collectors, and to everyone who played a part in making this year’s festival a success (even my kiddos for doing most of the grunt work!). Your support means the world, and I look forward to what the future holds for all of us in the art community.
